Sometimes we have hectic days and we may misplace our keys, or even worse have them stolen.
instead of replacing all of the locks in your home, we can replace the internal parts of the lock such as pins and springs and disable the old key from working and and then cut and issue you new keys and only those keys will work.
Rekeying is done at times when you move into a new home and do not know who else has the keys, so for peace of mind it is recommended to rekey your home.
When rekeying locks, its important to use the correct top pins, bottom pins and springs, the tighter the tolerances the more secure the lock will be.
A lot of times even if the lock is low security we can install spool pins and make the lock a lot more pick resistant .
When we arrive at the job site we will observe the locks, make sure they have all the necessary pins and springs, cut a new key and rekey the lock to the new key.
that way any copies of the old key won't work anymore and give you peace of mind that only you have the key to enter your home.
