Smart Keys

Most of the newer Acura's require a Smart Key FOB or a Proximity fob which once its programmed to your car it can lock, unlock the doors and even start the car when the fob is in your pocket or purse.
We always recommend either OEM or a good quality aftermarket Smart key such as ILCO or  equivalent. 

A lot of the cheap aftermarket ones lose signal and then you start having issues with the car not sensing the proximity chip and not starting or smart entry stops working.

What are Acura remote head keys?
They function as a remote with the key attached to it so you enter the car by pressing a button and then start the car.
Only downside is that the Acura OEM remote head keys have 2 weak points, they still last a long time however we carry a different brand where there is no screw that connects between the key and the fob and it makes the weak area stronger and 1 less issue to worry about.
